I have always been interested in what could exist.
I’m Ellesia Thurmond—Lisa to almost everyone who knows me. I build ideas, systems, experiences, and the structures that allow possibility to become real.

There are people whose lives make perfect sense as a sequence of titles. Mine makes more sense as a pattern.
I notice what is missing. I imagine what could be there instead. Then I start thinking about the people, design, structure, language, systems, and experience that would make the idea inhabitable.
That instinct has followed me through higher education, business, consulting, public service, leadership development, organizational learning, branding, program design, and plenty of projects that never fit neatly inside a job description.
The best of both worlds.
I have never felt especially obligated to choose one side of myself. I can spend the same amount of time refining an executive presentation as I can doing my hair and makeup. I care deeply about developing a leadership program and creating the perfect movie night. My playlists can move from Vivaldi to Kanye West in the same hour.
To me, that is not contradiction. It is wholeness. I want ambition and softness. Substance and beauty. Discipline and indulgence. Work that matters and a life that feels good to live. The duality is the point.
What I keep returning to.
People. Learning. Possibility. Design. Leadership. Beauty. Systems that work. Experiences that feel intentional. And the question underneath almost everything I build: what could this become?
This website is where those worlds are allowed to live together.
